Comment: plenty of weeds just under the surface extend out from shore 25-30 feet. no problem for motor though. this is just an average pond with good days and bad.

Comment: @ MrsDano There are no weeds like 5 to 10 feet from every part of the shore, so boats with trolling motors will be fine. @Jlev, depending on where your coming from: The Beaver Pond Recreation Area is located on Beaver Street in Franklin, MA adjacent to Beaver Pond. Pull into the parking lot (you will see a parking booth on the right as your turning in. As long as your early enough (I go there at 5am) you wont have to deal with the people in the booth. Stay right in the parking lot and all the way at the end of the lot to the left is the boat ramp... Have fun. I heard there are 8 pounders here but all I got was a 3 pound 3 ouncer at best.
