Pond X (W) Fishing Report

5/31/15 - Pond X (W)

Myself and some of the crew got together for a 5 team throwdown at a new place for most of us. It's near my new house, so of course I been trying to set this up since I moved in 2 month ago. Small ramp, little parking, it can be a cluster at times. Shallow pond for the most part. I'm sure some of you reading this will know this place, but please don't blab about it, the local bucket brigade trashes the shorelines enough already.

Anyway, the fishing for Chuck and myself was strange. Being Post spawn didn't help the cause. Started slow, with little flurries here and there. We probably caught 15 Bass each, and culled 6 to 8 times. Mostly on multiple types of jigs. Our final limit consisted of Chuck's 1lb 10oz, 1lb 9oz, two 1lb 5oz's, and my 3lb 2oz.

Here is stats:
1st. R & R - 5 Largemouth @ 16lbs 3oz - Tournament Lunker @ 4lbs 10oz

2nd. Bassassins - 5 Largemouth @ 11lb 12oz

3rd. Angry Landlords - 5 Largemouth @ 8lbs 15oz - Big Fish @ 3lbs 2oz

4th. Bite Me - 5 Largemouth @ 7lbs 5oz

5th. Northshore - Did not weigh, but I believe they had a limit?

Team R & R with a big victory, and lunker! Nice Job Ronnie & Ray!

After the weigh in, some of us head back to my place and threw some meat of the grill! Good job everyone, fun as always!
